We built an AI-powered ape apparatus that can construct high resolution (2048 × 2048px) imaginary bored, mutant, and blended apes with visual traits that could only be imagined by a neural network trained on a cluster of datacenter-scale GPUs.
Every stroke and color rendered has been algorithmically selected by a generative adversarial network (GAN).
Our collection metadata has no defined traits set for each token as the renderings powered by the neural network seamlessly blend millions of learned connections and every point of visual acuity is an AI blend of all other traits capable of being rendered.
All traits are rendered uniquely with fine and distinct details visible at full resolution.
Every ape is 1/1.
Every AI-generated ape is 1/1 and completely unique due to our special pre-training process which constructed and overlaid a programmatically-generated color bloom vignette atop every training image the GAN processed. The chromatic gradient shifts subtly across the entire collection and produces beautiful hue blends that make These Apes Don't Exist pieces stand apart from all other ape artwork.
Impossible in normal collections, our neural network will occasionally get a little creative and render visual traits that have never existed until now. Look for pieces with smoke coming from kazoos, multiple eye traits simultaneously, horns and hats together, 3D glasses with only 1 side, multiple hats, only one suspender, half coins on each eye, and much more.

Through a multi-step rendering and AI-based smart augmentation and upscaling pipeline, the final resolution of all These Apes Don't Exist pieces is 2048 × 2048px. These 4.1 megapixel apes are 10× the resolution of the original training set collections at 631 × 631px.
The higher resolution and finer detail let you zoom in tight and observe how the GAN decided to render every facet down to the edge of a stroke or the blend of multiple hues.
Some of the rarest These Apes Don't Exist pieces in the entire collection are mutants, and for good reason: although part of the initial training set, the visual detail of mutant ape traits led our AI on an Ayahuasca-fueled vision quest and the results are sort of... otherworldly.
Mutant apes can also have blended traits, so watch out for single mutant horns, double eye traits, and more.
The training parameters used throughout the GAN setup and processing pipeline were specifically chosen to enhance hue, vibrance, and stroke variability. Lines that were black in the original collection now subtly shift across the RGB spectrum, creating a hyper color rainbow of high resolution details when you zoom in to inspect. Textures and gradients in the training set have evolved into alternate constructions, like the rare noise fur trait which now resembles a violet-hued microprocessor die, or eyelids which were once a flat color now rendered in multiple hues.
Every piece in the These Apes Don't Exist collection has some example of hyper color rendering, but the rarest items have much more extensive detailing with this aesthetic.
